"This book contains thirty-one devotionals, originally titled, “Thought for the Day”, which I sent via email to my friends and family. After I had produced a number of them, I was encouraged to combine and publish them. This book is the result.
I recommend you only read one devotional per day. After reading it, spend some time in prayer. Talk to God about what you have read and how it may impact you that day. None of the devotionals are aimed at a specific audience; I’m assuming the reader has a relationship with Christ and wants to grow that relationship. This is the true purpose of publishing this devotional: helping you grow your relationship with Christ. In the devotionals, I used a number of different translations of the Bible. Different translations helped me to get a better understanding of what the Scripture was saying. The next page contains the abbreviations used and the actual name of the various translations. Every devotional herein comes from a personal experience. Since those experiences made an impression on me, my hope is that they will make an impression on you. Rereading the devotionals has touched my heart a number of times. I hope it does the same for you. Enjoy your Thought for the Day." ---Rick Friday |
